Following your injection of BOTOX or Jeuveau, you should be able to get back to your daily activities, although strenuous activities, like exercise, should be postponed for at least 24 hours. You will be asked to sleep upright for at least one night and to not touch your face, as this can accidentally spread the neurotoxin to other areas of your face. The injected sections of the face may be slightly red, swollen, or bruised for a few days, but you should not have any serious or lasting side effects. In most cases, it takes around 5 – 7 days before the full effects of the injection are visible. The results generally last 3 – 4 months.
